Tanya Alota

Tanya is an accomplished professional dancer and choreographer. She has been teaching others to move and groove throughout the Bay Area the past 22 years. She won her first choreography award at the age of 11 and at age 16 she was hired to travel the country as a background dancer for international recording artist "Angelina". That would be her first tour of many. Through the years Tanya has danced, choreographed and toured for numerous recording artists including: Jocelyn Enriquez, Planet Soul, M.G., Emotion in Motion” and many more. She has shared the stage with: Aliyah, N'Sync Eminem, Roger and Zap, Malo, Jay-Z and Santana to name a few. Tanya has been a performer on The Jenny Jones Show, Queen Latifah Show, NBC, MTV Brazil, MTV Canada, MTV and was a featured dancer in the film Matrix Reloaded. Tanya has been a dance company member in various professional dance companies including:  New Style Motherlode, City Slam, and Mind Over Matter. She has done numerous productions with acclaimed choreographers Ronnie Reddick (Michael Jackson) , Corey Action Harrison (Madonna) and Alan Frias (So You Think You Can Dance). She also was a performer in Nickelodeons "Nick Toons Summer Jam Live" working with children of all ages. 

Tanya is also an accomplished musician and vocalist. She has played with members of Prince, Santana,Sheila E, and many more.  Tanya loves to share her knowledge of dance and music with all her students and watching them grow.
