DRESS CODE

PLEASE PURCHASE YOUR DANCE SHOES AND TIGHTS FROM THE STUDIO 8 DANCE RETAIL STORE. THIS WILL ENSURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT SHOES AND TIGHTS FOR CLASS AND FOR THE SPOTLIGHT SHOWCASE. 

Studio 8 offers a full dance retail store. All of the items for the dress code are available for purchase at the Studio 8 store. We have full stock dancewear including; leotards, skirts, Jazz shorts and pants, and Jazz, ballet & tap shoes. 

 

Hair must be pulled away from face.
Make sure your shoe laces are double tied. 
Please no street shoes inside studio.
Please do not wear jewelry.

 

ITTY BITTY, MINI, JUNIOR BALLET & CREATIVE DANCE- Girls- leotard, footed tights and pink ballet shoes, skirt is optional. Hair up. Boys-sweat pants, t-shirt and bare feet or black ballet shoes.

 

 

ITTY BITTY DANCERS- Girls- leotard,footed tights and pink ballet shoes, skirt is optional. Hair up. Boys-sweat pants, t-shirt and bare feet or black ballet shoes.  Parents- wear comfortable clothing and bare feet.

 

 

JAZZ/BALLET/TAP- Girls- leotard, footed tights and pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, skirt is optional. Hair up. Boys-sweat pants, t-shirt and bare feet or black ballet shoes, black tap shoes. Please label name inside shoes. hair up. Please double tie strings at top of ballet shoes.

 

 

TAP- Girls- leotard or fitted tank top, fitted leggings or lycra shorts. If wearing shorts, tights required. Boys- sweat pants or leggings, t-shirt. Black leather lace up tap shoes. (not split sole). No jeans. Hair up.

 

 

BALLET-Girls-Pink footed tights with no holes, black leotard any style, pink split sole ballet shoes. No bra straps visible. Black sports bra only.  Black ballet skirt or black lycra shorts. Hair must be in a secured bun. Hair nets are recommended for bun. Boys- black leggings with white t-shirt and black ballet shoes.

 

 

JAZZ-leotard or fitted tank top, fitted leggings or lycra shorts. If wearing shorts, tights required. Boys- sweat pants or leggings and t-shirt.  All- Black split sole jazz shoes. No jeans. Hair up.

 

 

Kicks,Leaps, Turns- Girls- leotard or fitted tank top, fitted leggings or lycra shorts. If wearing shorts, tights required. Boys- sweat pants or leggings and t-shirt.  All- Black split sole jazz shoes. No jeans. Hair up.

 

 

HIP HOP- Comfortable dancewear, t-shirt, sweats, clean tennis shoes, hair up. Hat ok. No jeans or skirts. Please do not wear shoes that are dirty or wet.

 

ADULT CLASSES-  form fitted dancewear and the appropriate dance shoes, hair up.

 

CHEERLEADING- fitted pants or shorts, fitting tank top, athletic tennis shoes, hair up. No jeans.

 

CONTEMPORARY/LYRICAL-leotard or fitted tank top, fitted leggings or lycra shorts. If wearing shorts, tights required. Boys- sweat pants or leggings and t-shirt.  No jeans. Hair up. Ballet shoes or foot undies.

 

MUSICAL THEATRE/POP STAR- Comfortable dancewear, black split sole jazz shoes, hair up. No jeans or skirts.
